Yup69 asked:

I know it is super early to be asking help on christmas gifts, however, I’m currently out of the country, and my fiance is back home, so it seems I have to do things well in advance than normal. I want to get her something totally romantic and unique. I’m thinking something unique to her culture. She’s half Filipino. I’m not all that familiar with the culture, so maybe if anyone has ideas on how they express romance in that culture or possibly a romantic expression. I would like to do something with jewelry I think, and tie that in with her culture. If anyone could please help me out with how Filipino men express romance to women. An expression, a website…anything. Also, if you know of any unique jewelry places. Possibly something with unique sayings, etc.

i don’t know about men… and filipino culture.. as such.

But i know, that “shells” are a big thing in the philippines, so maybe… give her the jewellery in a shell…
    along with some other stuff.

Your idea is great. My boyfriend got me a jewelry box with ‘I Love You’ on it. It was silver and had pearls around it. Maybe there is a Filipino jewelry box you could inscribe something sweet on. Jewelry is fabulous, too!
The links may not work but I made sure that if you hand type them in they will. Good luck!

Also- you should give her 12 roses, 11 real and 1 fake. Then have a note say… “I’ll love you until the last rose dies.”
Ya know, if you love her and all! Lol. I’ve always wanted someone to do that to me. She’ll be so happy.

You see it doesn’t matter to Filipino women what gift you will give to them cause they are appreciative whether it small or big things, expensive or not expensive, it is matter to them how you give it and how you value it. suggestion if you really want a unique to express a romance to her… try to wear barong tagalog a native clothes of Filipino men and sing to her some romantic songs, Filipino called it as “HARANA”.

Harana it is a traditional form of courtship music in which a man woos a woman by serenading her underneath her window at night. It is widely practiced in many parts of the Philippines with a set of protocols, a code of conduct, and a specific style of music. The main instrument used for Harana is the Guitar, played by the courter, although other string instruments such as the Ukulele and less frequently, the Violin and Trumpets are also used.

just try maybe she will love it more than any jewelries or something you want to give to her…

    best of luck….
